Creative Embroidery And Slow Stitching By Aitor Saraiba
An invitation to pause, breathe and reconnect with the rhythm of your hands. In this workshop, sewing becomes a calm and grounding practice, gently quieting the mind while allowing creativity to unfold naturally.
Working with recycled fabrics that already hold their own stories and traces of lived moments, you will give new life to familiar materials through thoughtful, intuitive stitching. Each fragment becomes part of a meaningful and personal creation, celebrating reuse, respect and creativity.

A special embroidery workshop where you will learn to stitch while creating a beautiful and now iconic textile little amulet, or Escapulario, designed by Aitor Saraiba.
Aitor, a passionate advocate for intuitive, creative and pattern-free embroidery, will guide you through this hands-on and expressive experience. You will leave with your own handmade Escapulario, created using the exclusive materials included in Aitor Saraiba’s custom kit.

Art On Your Heart With Kate In The Nest
Have you ever wanted to be a designer or create your own unique piece of clothing? This workshop gives you the opportunity to become both the designer and stitcher of your own beautifully embellished shirt.
You will be provided with a soft, ethically sourced organic cotton long-sleeved shirt, designed by Kate, along with a curated collection of florals and textiles to incorporate into your design. Choose from three shirt colours: pink, green or blue.
Using the “flower to flower” concept as the starting point, you will explore an organic process of adornment throughout the day. A variety of simple stitches, threads and collage techniques will allow you to build colour, texture and interest, creating as much or as little detail as suits your own aesthetic.

Satin stitch is the foundation of many Eastern European folk embroidery traditions, and mastering it opens up a world of beautiful and expressive design possibilities.

This immersive two-day workshop explores the use of textiles, threads and mixed techniques to help you develop and express your own personal creative style.
Inspired by the common ‘thread’ of florals, you will have the opportunity to work with precious vintage embroideries alongside beautiful floral textiles. Guided by the themes of “nurture” and “growth”, you will experience the joy of building your work gradually—adding pieces and layers, one flower at a time, as you move deeper into the creative process.

Stitching Scroll With Kate In The Nest
Create a whimsical and practical piece inspired by the traditional needle book or husswif. Your finished stitching scroll will contain useful elements for your slow stitching practice, including a cupcake pin cushion, needle holder and pockets.
Beginning with a foundation layer of blanket, you will build up layers of vintage textiles and personal details to create a unique piece that is both beautiful and functional. The finished scroll will reflect your own favourite style and become a special companion for your stitching practice.
